Ditch Your Sunglasses and Sunscreen

We’ve all heard that the sun is dangerous and we need to protect our skin and eyes from this evil force of nature. Is this the whole story? Is there another view? Like most of us, a good part of my life was spent wearing my cool shades and using sunscreen to protect my skin from skin cancer. More recently, I’ve adopted the opposite viewpoint that the more sun I can get, the better I’ll feel. I go out of my way to go outside first thing in the morning without my prescription glasses, so that both my eyes and skin can absorb as much healing sun rays as possible. I proceed to then get as much sunshine as my daily schedule will allow.  Sunbathing with coconut oil is a favorite pastime, along with long walks outdoors in the heat of day.

The Latest Research on the Sun

Dr. Michael Holick, PhD, MD, has done tremendous research on the benefits and importance of the sun and vitamin D for general health. Continue reading

The Big Divide: Why Chiropractors Oppose Vaccinations While Medical Doctors Embrace Them

There exists a divide between practicing chiropractors and physicians regarding their views on vaccinations. Chiropractors often oppose the practice of vaccinations, understanding the body’s intrinsic ability to heal from illness, and how vaccinations interfere with this process.

By contrast, medical doctors are trained in medical schools and hospitals, largely funded by pharmaceutical companies’ dollars. Allopathic physicians are highly indoctrinated on the importance of vaccinations to prevent disease and illness, while receiving little to no knowledge on vaccine dangers and their negative impact on health.

Which argument makes more sense? Was the human body made to intrinsically heal and stay healthy if given good nutrition and environmental support? Were humans made lacking in the toxic cocktail ingredients found in vaccines needed to create artificial antibodies to fight illness? Continue reading

10 Lessons of the Recent Flu Season

The recent winter flu season of 2017-2018 witnessed numerous news headlines warning of terrible flu outbreaks and countless deaths. With these warnings came stern recommendations for Americans to get their flu shots, followed by suggestions to take prescription Tamiflu if recommended by one’s physician. Many Americans followed and preached this advice to others.

The news reports circulated among holistic health communities and a minority of mainstream media outlets were quite different. Health reports spread of the flu vaccine’s failure to prevent flu, while also spreading and causing the flu itself. The flu vaccination was reported to cause death and paralysis in the form of Guillain-Barre Syndrome. Integrative physicians shared well-documented research proving that Tamiflu was ineffective at treating flu, with increasing risks of deaths and frightening hallucinations. Statistical manipulation of flu data and deaths was reported as part of a sales campaign to market flu vaccinations. Integrative doctors recommended safer and more effective protocols for preventing and treating the flu.

Discerning the real truth in conflicting reports can be challenging. Will Americans continue to follow doctors’ orders regarding flu prevention and treatment in spite of the controversy and evidence to the contrary? Growing numbers of individuals are wisely opting out of the flu vaccine and using natural immune boosters and treatments. Continue reading

How Do US Vaccine Rates, Policies and Children’s Health Compare to Other Countries

The United States has higher vaccination rates than any other country. The US also has very high infant mortality rates. American children experience epidemic levels of chronic diseases including autism, attention deficit disorder, learning disabilities, autoimmune disorders, asthma, epilepsy and allergies. [1, 2]

If vaccinations were so effective in improving the health of children, why do the statistics not bear this out? In fact, the opposite has been shown to be true. Increasing vaccination rates are correlated with growth in diseases for our children. Continue reading

The Failed MMR Vaccine on College Campuses

November 19 2014 138Most states have enacted laws requiring college students to obtain the MMR vaccine in order to attend their universities. This vaccine allegedly offers protection against the diseases measles, mumps and rubella. The effectiveness of Merck’s MMR vaccine against mumps has been questioned by many scientists.

Meanwhile, the past five years have witnessed skyrocketing increases of mumps outbreaks across college campuses, among those students vaccinated, providing further evidence of the MMR vaccine’s failure. The MMR vaccine has been associated with injuries and deaths, while the diseases of measles and mumps which it targets are generally mild and resolve on their own.

To add to the insanity of these vaccine policies, campus authorities have urged students to receive booster MMR shots, after the failed MMR vaccines have resulted in mumps outbreaks among those vaccinated. This combination of events begs the question of whether the MMR college vaccine policies make any sense and what better alternatives exist. [1-3] Continue reading

My Successful Fight with Eczema Using Natural Approaches

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I have struggled with very mild skin issues my entire life. These skin problems have included severe poison ivy outbreaks in the summer time, responding only to 7 days of oral steroid treatment. I also experienced mild cases of eczema which would come and go.

While in the more distant past I would often seek counsel from a dermatologist who usually prescribed steroid creams to suppress my symptoms, more recently I sought help from my holistic physician. My alternative doctor explained to me that eczema is a signal of an internal imbalance or infection, which my body was trying to eliminate through my skin, the largest organ for detoxification. I felt better addressing and treating the underlying cause, rather than only treating the symptom. Beginning in the Spring of 2008, with the onset of a serious family health crisis, I had begun embracing, seeking and learning about alternative medicine and preferred this approach in resolving most health issues.

The Autism Epidemic and How to Stop It

We are facing an autism epidemic in which one out of two American children born in 2025 will suffer the devastating health consequences of autism. MIT research scientist Stephanie Seneff makes this prediction based on the current rapid growth rate of autism in this country. [1]

This growth pattern cannot be explained away by changes in genetics. Autism has been causally linked to vaccinations, based on research, parental reports and court case rulings.  Scientist Seneff also links autism with the growth of the dangerous herbicide glyphosate, widely used on crops. [2]

The best way to end this movement towards a national health disaster is to change the views of parents regarding the safety and effectiveness of vaccinations targeting their children. Research has clearly linked vaccines to autism, in spite of repeated denials by government and health institutions to the contrary. Continue reading

The True Causes of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome

Having a newborn baby can and should be a time of tremendous joy for parents. Most parents trust their pediatricians to provide them with guidance and care that is in the best interest of their infants and children. However, when it comes to preventing the tragedy of sudden infant death syndrome, most parents are left with worthless and dangerous advice from the experts, including recommendations to vaccinate, which can actually cause SIDS.

This current state of medical practice is both tragic and criminal. Pediatricians are not evil individuals, but they are greatly misinformed in their training and highly influenced by the pharmaceutical companies. [1] Continue reading

Is it Time for Your Flu Shot or Extra Nutrition?

January 2015 340It’s that time of year: flu season. Pharmacies are advertising their flu shots. Medical groups and physicians urge patients to get their vaccinations. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that everyone get vaccinated, including newborns, pregnant women, children and the elderly.

Is there a better, safer way? What are the risks of the flu vaccine versus the relative benefits? It can be argued that improving nutrition during the winter months is a safer, more effective means to prevent flu and other respiratory illnesses. Continue reading

Why New Crohn’s Disease Vaccine is a Mistake

A Crohn’s disease vaccination is being developed by a researcher in Great Britain. The vaccine targets MAP, a bacteria found in 80% of Crohn’s sufferers. The vaccine aims to help stimulate the body to eliminate MAP, and thus cure those suffering with Crohn’s disease. [1]

While the intent of the researcher may be honorable, it is highly debatable whether another vaccination is the answer for this serious disease.

Vaccinations have in fact been blamed for causing autoimmune disorders including Crohn’s disease. It makes little sense to use a vaccine to target a disease caused by vaccines. Crohn’s disease is a progressive, life-threatening illness correlated with gut dysbiosis and inflammation of the intestines. [2] Continue reading
